Hannah Ledlie

Originally from Edinburgh, Hannah Ledlie is a writer interested in ideas of sexuality, dystopia, and belonging. In 2019 she graduated from the University of Birmingham with a First in English and Creative Writing, and she is now beginning an MSt in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford.

In 2015 Hannah was shortlisted for the BBC Young Writers’ Award, and as a member of the University of Birmingham’s poetry team she came first place at UniSlam in 2018 and ’19. In 2019 she was also a winner of Penguin’s Platform spoken word competition. From 2020 she has attended UniSlam as a coach and workshop leader, helping Birmingham to reach the grand finals five years running. Hannah’s poetry and short fiction has featured in Gutter, Porridge and Ambit.
